Love, love, love Tervis Tumblers! And during the dog days of summer this is a product you want to have, because unlike me, they don’t sweat!
You can get in various college and sports teams

Lots of girlie tumblers too, like these cute flip-flops.

Some come with lids, or you can purchase lids and straws separate.

Do you think I got in all my favorite Texas teams in this post?
You can even order personalized tumblers from their website. You can find a great selection at Amazon, so that you get the free shipping/no tax benefit. They are a little more expensive than you would expect to pay for a tumbler, but I can tell you that I have had the Texas Tech and A&M tumblers for well over 10 years and they still look brand new.
Tervis Tumblers are guaranteed for life. They keep hot drinks hot, and cold drinks cold. No condensation or those horrible rings on your furniture. I hope you get some for yourself or friends. Listen, you cannot go wrong on a sports themed gift for a man.

Want to dazzle someone with a unique gift? Check out zazzle.com. Zazzle has lots of ideas for a custom gift. My favorite is the postage stamps. I have received wedding invitations, baby announcements and Christmas cards with a personalized stamp. So adorable.

You can also customize your own note cards, invitations, business cards, key chains, and tote bags. You can use your own photo for mugs, magnets, mouse pads, and lots of other stuff that doesn’t even start with an M. So if you can dream it, zazzle can make it!

needymeds.org is a great resource for both prescription and over the counter medication coupons. In addition, it provides financial assistance programs to those in need of help with prescriptions and health care. I found coupons for every single prescription I take.
This is a non-profit site. According to the website:
NeedyMeds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit information resource devoted to helping people in need find assistance programs to help them afford their medications and costs related to health care. NeedyMeds was founded in 1997 by Richard Sagall, MD and Libby Overly, MSW when Libby was working as a medical social worker in a rural Mississippi. She developed a database of PAP information to help her meet the needs of her clients. When she described this database to Rich , a friend with a medical practice in Bangor, Maine, he conceptualized making the information available on the Internet to make it available to more people. This was the beginning of NeedyMeds.
The mission of NeedyMeds is to make information about assistance programs available to low-income patients and their advocates at no cost. The NeedyMeds website is the face of the organization. Databases such as Patient Assistance Programs, Disease-Based Assistance, Free and Low- Clinics, government programs and other types of assistance programs are the crux of the free information offered online.
NeedyMeds is funded by small grants, donations, sponsorships, subscriptions to PAPTracker, and syndication of various database information. NeedyMeds also works with the patient assistance programs of several pharmaceutical distributors.
Please check this site out, bookmark it, and share it with everyone you know. We all could use a little assistance these days.

I’ve decided to start posting a weekly recipe on Fridays. First one is a recipe from my mom. There is not a person on the face of this Earth that has tried this salad and not loved it!
Make-Ahead Salad
1 large head of lettuce, torn up
1 to 2 green peppers, chopped
1 bunch spring onions, cut up (including tops)
1 can water chestnuts, sliced thin*
1 pkg frozen peas, separated but not cooked
Parmesan cheese**
1 Jar bacos***
2 c Hellman’s Mayo
1-2 tbsp sugar
Make layers in a bowl of the first five ingredients. Combine sugar and mayo and spread over top with spatula. Cover with parmesan cheese. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours. Just before serving, add bacon bits and toss.
*Buy pre-sliced in can
**I buy the real Parmesan cheese, not the kraft powdery stuff – you can get a small bag already shredded
***I buy the real bacon bits – not the artificial ones
