Have you heard of Weathercall? I just renewed this service after subscribing to it for one full year. It is well worth the $9.95 per year fee. Weathercall is affiliated with your local TV station, and according to its website, the yearly fee will depend upon the local TV channel hosting the service. If you are unsure if you are able to subscribe to this service, you can contact them by phone at 800-260-6695, or email info@weathercall.net.
When the National Weather Service issues a severe weather alert in your area, you are notified by telephone, email, and text. It is specific to a two-mile radius of your home, not just a countywide warning. When the alert goes off in my area, my home phone rings, my cell phone rings, my husband’s cell phone rings, and we both get a text message and email message. There is no way to miss a warning. My local ABC weatherman records the warning messages that are sent to me, advising what specific warning I am under. I have his name entered in my phones – it cracks my friends up when they think Pete is actually calling me. It can be annoying when that phone rings at 2:00 a.m., but better safe than sorry. And you just cannot beat the price. So if you want some added peace of mind please subscribe to this service.
