Bean and Ham Soup
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 6 oz. Canadian style bacon, diced
- 3 cups canned white beans, drained
- ¼ cup water, as needed to add moisture
- ¼ cup unpacked brown sugar
- ½ cup uncooked onion, finely chopped
Brown ham and onions in pot, add remaining ingredients and enough water to cover then let simmer for a hour or so. Makes 10 servings a ½ cups each.
