Tech Armor has a great line of screen protectors. This time of year for some reason I always switch from the clear to the anti-glare because I cannot read my iPhone in the sun!

And I detest fingerprints. Don’t you? I also have a thing about people touching my car windows when they are trying to point out something to me. But that’s a different story for another time.

They are so easy to install. You can get them for your Kindle and iPad too. I think they are very inexpensive. A set of three of the iPhone covers is only $6.95 at Amazon. My much younger friend, who has two small children and one on the way, recently told me I had to get A Beautiful Mess app. I do what I’m told. Also, I trust her because she is a fabulous photographer, has taken some amazing photos of her children that you would pay professionals to take, so she knows her stuff.

The app allows you to personalize your own photos with borders, or even writing. Listen, since we don’t keep real photo albums anymore, you are going to have to put some info on some of the photos you take. Trust me, you’ll get old and forget. I speak from experience.

It’s great for bloggers. Like me. I bet you wished I was posting some of my own photos. Okay, you talked me into it.  Look what a cute edit I did on my first try of the app with a photo of my precious granddog! Imagine what someone with real talent could do!

The only thing my friend doesn’t like is there is no “undo button”. But when I went to the website the developer says they are working on that. So hang in there. It is a .99 app, but seriously, what’s a dollar these days?

My favorite summer alcoholic drink is a Mojito. It can only get better if it is frozen! Try this great recipe from Food Network today. Go. Now. I mean it!

Mojito Slushy

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup fresh lime juice, about 4 to 6 limes
• 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, firmly packed
• 2 limes, zested
• 1/2 cup light rum
• 8 cups crushed ice
• Mint sprigs and lime wedges, for garnish

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the sugar and water. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often, until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup is clear. Set aside to cool.

Put the sugar syrup, lime juice, mint leaves, lime zest, and rum into a blender and blend until smooth. Add the ice and blend until slushy. Spoon into glasses; garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime slice.

Believe it or not it’s been three months since I told you about my favorite mascara! I feel it my duty to try as many as I can to share with you! This is a new favorite. You will love the price at $5 a tube. Revlon claims that it will magically transform lashes to lush, long and lustrous. A potion with strengthening proteins drenches lashes for volume. Triple-groove wand combs through for clump-free length.

What I know is that I do love the application, it doesn’t clump, and it covers great! No build up needed to get that full, long look we all want. Also, how could you not love the colorful tube?
