When my only child was little, there was no such thing as a personal computer, a scanner, or a cell phone. I had a computer at work, and I remember once doing a legal brief that was 50 pages long. It was so long that I actually had to split it up and store it on two floppy disks. Oh Lord am I old. But I digress. Again.
What I wouldn’t give to have all his art work stored. Should I dare even dig it all out of the attic now, and put those crusted yellow pages of pure genius into digital storage? Should I risk going up in the attic? Ok, I’ve talked myself out of it. Maybe I will just wait until I have grandchildren. Wonder what magical apps will be available by the time I am 80? That’s when my son says I will have them, and that’s just thirty more years away, give or take a year.
Ok, back to people who really need the information about this app today. I’ve rambled on enough about me! Sometimes, I see apps and am just amazed at what they can do. Artkive is one of those apps. It will digitally store your precious angels’ artwork in chronological order. You also can keep artwork arranged by the grade they were in when they drew the masterpiece. Clever, clever, clever.

And, it just gets better. It allows you to set up the contacts that you want to share these precious memories with. That way, in one click you can put a big ol’ smile on all the grandparents’ faces!

Did I mention that it is a FREE app? So what are you waiting for? Go download this great app today! And then you can share with me how great it is. It looks great, but since I don’t have any point of reference, I need my readers with the cute, talented kids to tell me!

I love a complicated recipe. Try to follow this one.
Patti’s Faux Millionaires
- Bag of Rolos
- Bag of Pecan Halves
Place Rolos on cookie sheet and put in oven for TWO minutes. Take out and place a pecan half in the middle of each melted Rolo. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving.
She made these for a party recently and sent me pictures. We actually FaceTime’d and she tried to feed me one. She says she buys a huge bag because everyone in her family loves them, so when they leave they all get to take a bag with them.

Don’t they look scrumptious? I think these will definitely go into my fall baking schedule.

There is nothing that makes me happier than finding a product that I love that is CHEAP! Walking down the aisle of my favorite mega store, I noticed this 5 ounce bottle of Suave Keratin Leave In Conditioner, under $2.50, and thought, “what the hell”. I talk to myself a lot. I’m very entertaining.
I hear all the time about Keratin, and how great it is for your hair, so even if I didn’t like this, I wasn’t going to be out a lot of money. Guess what? I love this stuff. Now you must listen, and listen carefully, because I have tested this for you. Put the teeniest, tiniest amount of product in your palm, a dab, a milimeter. Smaller than small. Then rub the product in your palms and then run through your dry clean hair. It’s better to start off slow instead of do what I did, was put a little plop in my hands and then run through my hair only to end up with seriously greasy hair. The directions call for a “dime-sized” amount. That is about 100 times too much. Maybe it’s just me, but start off slow. There are two great things about this product. One is that it really does leave my hair a little shinier and softer. Smooths out those flyaway frizzies. The second thing is that as little as I need of this product, I figure this 5 ounce bottle is going to outlast me. Think I should leave it to someone it in my Will?
From Suave:
This dual-action lightweight formula, enriched with KERALOCK TECHNOLOGY, both infuses keratin inside the hair fiber for ultimate moisturization and helps protect hair while heat styling.
Infuses keratin & seals cuticles for:
- Advanced protection from heat damage
- Frizz control for up to 48 hours
- Smooth & manageable hair, easy styling
What is your favorite hair care product? You know I love to hear from you!

As I type this I have my Scentsy burner going with a yummy fragrance, and my calm zen music playing in the background. Don’t judge me.
I have blogged before about my love of Scentsy. With fall around the corner, or actually already here in some parts of the country, I love getting wonderful fall scents in my burners. I think Scentsy does a great job with giving you a large variety of scents and burners, so that you are sure to find the perfect ones just for you or to give as a gift.
If you are new to Scentsy, the beautiful thing about it is the safety feature. There is no wick, and no flame. That means no fire. No burned fingers. Well, unless you stick your fingers into the hot melted wax. As long as you keep the burners out of your kids’ reach, you are safe. You can leave accidentally forget to turn your Scentsy burner off before leaving the house, and it doesn’t cause any problem. It runs on a very low watt bulb.
They have some really cute burners for Fall/Halloween:

The September burner is this adorable pumpkin. The September scent is Caramel Pear Crisp. Doesn’t that sound yummy?

The link above is for my friend Meredith, who is a Scentsy consultant. She can give you all the info about the favorite scents, and the new scents, plus she knows what new burners are coming out for the remainder of the year. I have my year long burners, and my holiday burners, and love to switch them out with all the rest of my holiday decorating. Full disclosure, no free Scentsy products were given to me to write this post. Meredith is a great consultant, so if you don’t already have a Scentsy rep, please use her link above.
What is your favorite fall scent?
