As I watched a commercial yesterday for the new HBO show, “Luck”, I immediately went to my IMBd app to read about it. This app is a great resource for reviews of movies, and my favorite, is to see an actor on a TV show or movie when I can’t think of their name. I can look up the show to find the actor, and from there you can see everything the actor has ever been in. That helps a lot when your memory goes, or if you want to just show off to your friends. These are the things I do. I live of the edge.
According to IMDb website:
IMBd (Internet Movie Database) is the world’s most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content. The IMDb consumer Website (www.imdb.com) is consistently ranked as one of the most visited sites in the world with more than 110 million unique visitors per month. IMDb offers a searchable database of more than 2 million movies, TV and entertainment programs and more than 4 million cast and crew members. Consumers rely on the information IMDb.com provides — including show times, trailers, reviews, photo galleries, NewsDesk, quotes, box-office data, editorial feature sections and Watchlist — when making viewing decisions. IMDb is accessible in a customized, platform-optimized manner on leading mobile devices via its popular “Movies & TV” app for iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Android tablets, Windows Phone and its mobile-optimized website.
Did I mention it’s a free app? Another great reason to download now.

This is one of my favorite weight watcher recipes. I’m going to give you the actual weight watcher recipe, which is 7 points +.

Weight Watchers Cheesy Chili-Mac
2/3 pound(s) uncooked lean ground beef
2 medium uncooked onion(s), chopped
29 oz canned stewed tomatoes, Mexican-style (undrained)*
2 1/2 cup(s) canned tomato juice
4 oz canned green chili peppers, diced, drained
2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 serving(s) uncooked macaroni, elbow-size
31 oz canned pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup(s) low-fat shredded Cheddar cheese
- Coat a large skillet with cooking spray; set over medium-high heat. Cook beef and onion until meat is browned, stirring and breaking up meat with a spoon as it cooks, about 10 minutes; drain off fat.
- Stir in undrained tomatoes and their juice, tomato juice, chili peppers and chili powder; bring mixture to a boil.
- Stir in macaroni and beans; return to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until macaroni is tender, about 15 minutes. Spoon chili into bowls and sprinkle with cheese. Yields about 1 cup chili and 1 tablespoon cheese per serving.
*I am not a fan of stewed tomatoes, so I substitute Ro-tel Tomatoes. My calculations, which are often a little off, show zero points for Ro-tel, and Hunt’s stewed tomatoes have 1 pt per serving. I still count this as 7 points +.

Quick post today. If you don’t already know about Reynolds Non-stick Wrap, then pay attention. If you bake fish, or chicken, or fries, or anything that you want a quick clean up, then line your baking sheet with Reynolds Wrap Non-Stick Wrap. I have started a health kick this year (along with 88 trillion other people with their new year’s resolutions) and I make a lot of salmon and fish. I just line my baking sheet with this paper and bada-bing, food is done, doesn’t stick to anything, and I just throw out the foil and call it a night. If I could only get the fish not to splatter all over my clean oven, it would be a perfect world. Any suggestions?
It’s also great for making a foil packet of veggies, or putting food on the grill. Once you try the non-stick version, I doubt you ever buy the regular again.

I love candles. I think they help me to relax. While I work or blog, I light a candle, or turn on my Scentsy burner, and listen to zen music. It may be my imagination, but it seems to keep me focused and calm no matter what the chaos is around me.
A recent trip to see my BFF, we shopped at the cutest gift store. I love to go to little gift shops that are crammed packed with sussies. Have I explained the word “sussies” to you before? Sussies are little surprises. My mom started using the term years ago, and now everyone I know uses it. She may not have invented it, but in my world she did. There is nothing more fun than someone telling you they can’t wait to see you and have a sussie for you!
Anyway, back to the story. So while in this charming gift store, I discovered Swan Creek Candles. My new favorite candle is “Red Currant”. Actually, it has always been my dear friend Sally’s favorite scent, and when I found it, I purchased it for her. But I can never get someone something without a little something for myself. Don’t tell Sally, but I also bought the cute bird candle above, in vanilla pound cake. Love it in my kitchen, because it smells like I am baking, you know, without the calories!

They also carry jar candles in 6, 12, and 24 ounce sizes. I have the Red Currant in the jar, and also the Spiced Orange and Cinnamon. All the candles are made of soy wax, so you don’t get the black soot on your walls or blinds. They are really strong candles. Not gag you strong, but smell up your whole house wonderfully.
Please check out their website. You can email them for stores in your area, or order directly. I just ordered some of their tarts and plan on using them in my Scentsy burner. I’ll let you know how they work out.
What is your favorite scent for your home? Leave me a note in the comment section.
