Time to get outside and do some cleaning! I have paid professionals to pressure wash my house, driveway, and sidewalks before and now I can do it myself! I purchased the AR Blue Clean 1,900 PSI Electric Pressure Washer with Hose Reel a month ago and cannot tell you how much I love it! It’s $154, and it paid for itself in one use because in the past I have paid a professional service over $200 to do the same thing! I love this little sucker! It got all the black off my sidewalks, all the dirt off my patio and patio furniture, cleaned my windows, and even got rid of a few mildew spots that I have around a certain area of my brick.

My husband and I were actually fighting over who could use it! And you would think it would use a lot of water but it really uses very little water. At the end I thought I would be soaking wet but was dry as could be. It is very lightweight and comes on wheels so it is easy to maneuver around as long as you are close to an outlet and have a long hose!

I really wish I had stopped to take my own pictures, but I found this one online that someone submitted to Walmart, and even though my sidewalks weren’t quite this black, they did get all the gunk off of them!

So simple to use, and I love that it comes with several settings, so you can really REALLY clean the sidewalks with the highest power setting, but still clean your windows without worrying about breaking them! Okay, I wasn’t really worried. But it is a powerful little sucker, and the next day, even though very easy to use, my arms were very sore, which meant I got in a good workout!

It’s currently at my son’s house because he is about to put his house on the market, and wanted to get his outside as spotless as mine! I bet his house sells in no time. I hope he remembers to give  me my pressure washer back!

One of my favorite organizational apps is BugMe Stickies. The app looks like a bulletin board, and you can add stickies to the bulletin board. It also comes with an alarm so it will send you a reminder at the date and time you need it. Some people need really complex reminder apps. Not me. I’m old school. I like stuff that looks like a note, walks like a note, and talks like a note!

You can type out your reminders or hand write them on each sticky. I sprang for the package of additional sticky notes because I wanted the really cute sticky notes. There are specific sticky notes that have a telephone watermark, or a bill pay, birthday, and the days of the week. I started counting carbs so I have laid out stickies on my board for each day of the week on my iPad to keep track of my carbs.

Summer Tomatoes, Roasted Corn, Crab and Avocado Salad

• 12 oz lump crab meat
• 1 pint grape tomatoes, cut in half
• 1 Hass avocado, diced
• 2 hot peppers such as serrano or jalapeños, diced fine (seeds removed for mild)
• 1 1/2 cups roasted corn kernels
• 1/3 cup chopped red onion
• 2 limes, juice of (or more to taste)
• 1 tsp olive oil
• 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
• salt and fresh pepper to taste

In a small bowl combine red onion, lime juice, olive oil, pinch of salt and pepper. Let them marinate at least 5 minutes to mellow the flavor of the onion.

In a large bowl combine chopped crab meat, avocado, tomatoes, hot pepper and corn. Combine all the ingredients together. Add cilantro and gently toss. Adjust lime juice, salt and pepper to taste.

Last week I told you to stock up on some eye cream to prepare yourself for this week’s post. Of course now that I am reading the description of the product, I realize that once again, I picked up the wrong thing! DOH! Don’t get me wrong, I quadruple love the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum, I just didn’t realize it wasn’t just for eyes, but for your entire face. Luckily for me, my wrinkles are limited only to the eye area.

I think sometimes my little old wrinkles get used to what I am using and they need me to shake it up a bit to continue. I’m sure if I went to my dermatologist and got a prescription that would work too. I must tell you that years ago my dermatologist was prescribing this stuff and my face was always peeling, so I told him I would rather get wrinkles than be peeling constantly. This stuff did not peel on me, or leave any red areas. But you also have to remember that I exfoliate like a mad woman, and use lotions and potions constantly, so if you don’t you may find this a little strong at first. Adjust. Trust me. Getting old is Hell.
