Top of the mornin’ to you. I thought this would be a fun recipe to make with your kiddos.

Lucky Irish Kisses (Recipe and Photo from My Little Gems)
All you need is pretzels, Hershey’s kisses, white chocolate chips, and green M&M’s.
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.
Lay out your pretzels on the cookie sheet.
Place one Hershey’s kiss or 4 chocolate chips on each pretzel.
When the chocolate is soft (about 5 minutes), take out of oven and place a green M&M in the middle. If you use the chocolate chips, you can use a toothpick to swirl it a little so it looks like a clover.

If only it were that easy. Wave a magic wand and rewind on the age. I don’t think Maybelline Age Rewind makes me look any younger, but I do love the Age Rewind Foundation and concealer.

The foundation can be found at any major supermarket or drugstore for under $10. It has a sponge applicator and goes on quickly. For some reason, (mental), I had been using this as my quick, run out the door for a few errands or around the house makeup. It finally started making no sense to me. I look the best when I have this stuff on. I just spent a few days away from home and thought I’d wear “the good stuff”. I got a few glimpses of myself and probably scared a few children. This stuff really does great as far as coverage, lastability, and smoothness. Okay, spell check, lastability may not be a word but I like it. Did I mention how cheap it is? And I really love the sponge applicator. Maybelline says it “erases fine lines and age spots”. Don’t be fooled. It doesn’t. The good thing is unless I look into my 10x magnifying mirror, it does.

The Age Rewind Concealer has the same premise. It does a good job in covering up the dark area under the eye and does brighten. And for me, a woman of a particular age, i.e., OLD AS DIRT, it doesn’t settle into the fine lines under the eye. If you don’t have those yet, you should blow a little kiss to yourself every day. It’s going to get ugly. If you start to feel like you may need a concealer, or aren’t happy with the concealer you are currently using, try this for under $8.
Do you use any of the Age Rewind products? Let me know what you think of them. We are in this together!

One of my dearest friends lives by the lake. I love to visit her not only because she is my friend, and I love waking up in the morning and looking out at the lake, and sitting out by the lake, and all things about the lake in general, but also because she takes me shopping to fun and unique little stores. She always has the inside scoop on these things. One of my favorites is Laurie Anna’s. Lucky for me, and you, is they also have an online store. If I had one complaint about their website, it is that they do not have their jewelry items listed on the website – and their jewelry items are my favorite. The prices are unbelievable. Anyway, I shouldn’t even mention it because you will want it, and you can’t get it. Sorry! Maybe someday. Ok, just one more thing. On my last trip, I got the cutest earrings for $8. As we compared our treasures in the car, we realized we both purchased the same earrings. Oh, and I got a cute beaded bracelet for $3. But there’s just no sense mentioning it. . .
The website carries some great household items and gifts. Here are just a few pictures of their treasures.

So, if you are ever in the area, be sure and check out the store in person. But if not, be sure and bookmark this site for some great gift ideas for yourself or someone else. Or you can be like me and always buy for yourself AND someone else.

About a month ago I purchased the New Trent charger for smartphones. As you may remember if you follow my blog, I previously posted about a battery charger. The problem was it completely drained the charger after charging my iPhone. The beauty of my new charger is that it has much more charge time to it. I can fully charge my iPhone three or four times before needing to charge the external battery charger. That is great not only for every day use, but for travel. This charger is $40, and works with Apple iPhone 4S 4 3Gs 3G (AT&T and verizon), iPod Touch (1G 2G 3G 4G 5G), Motorola Droid, HTC Android EVO, Blackberry, Samsung EPIC, Samsung Galaxy Tablet, Samsung Galaxy S and much more. Provides over 25 hours of charge time.
New Trent also carries a charger for $77 that will provide 50 hours of charge for the smartphone, and 17 hours of charge for the iPad. While the first charger works great for me because I don’t have an iPad (yet), it makes sense to purchase the more expensive one if you have both. I tried my charger on my friend’s iPad and it didn’t work.
This is a great charger and I am very pleased with my purchase. Let me know your thoughts.
